A BOTSWANA SAFARI WITH YOUR OWN BBC WILDLIFE CAMERAMAN

A BOTSWANA SAFARI WITH YOUR OWN BBC WILDLIFE CAMERAMAN

Arcadia’s new 13-day expedition is led by legendary master filmmaker and wildlife photographer Greg Nelson, immersing travellers in the astonishing biosphere of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Greg will share his vast knowledge and help clients create a personal photo book, photo essay or film of their Okavango experience.

Arcadia’s Okavango Through the Lens expedition discovers the Okavango Delta from three perspectives – exploring bush, desert and water environments. Telling the remarkable story of the Delta, the expedition takes a deep dive into the origins of the Okavango, how it functions and the pressures it faces in an uncertain future.

To further enhance this exploration, renowned BBC and National Geographic cameraman Greg Nelson will lead this extraordinary journey. In a career spanning almost forty years, Greg is one of the world’s most distinguished African wildlife photographers. Each day the group can learn new camera and film skills from Greg whilst on safari, with Greg assisting each client individually to create a book, photo essay or documentary film of their experience.

Insider access to the most unforgettable and thought-provoking local experiences have been curated exclusively by Arcadia for their guests. Throughout the expedition, a number of resident experts will join the group’s ‘travelling dinner party’ for evening meals in camp. Around the table and by the fire, clients will hear first-hand accounts of the fieldwork undertaken by these experts to further enrich their understanding of the Okavango.

Arcadia Expeditions Co-Founder, David Adams says this one-of-a-kind trip is the ultimate indulgence for those looking for a luxury Botswana safari with a difference. “Our expedition travels to off-the-beaten-track locations in the Delta, often by private aircraft, staying in exclusive luxury mobile camps in the style of the old explorers. We camp on the edge of the Kalahari, on remote islands and in wildlife-rich game reserves. With Greg on hand to help our clients record their journey, it’s a wonderful opportunity for people to enhance their camera and video skills with one of the world’s best.”

David adds: “This is no ordinary Botswana photography tour. Greg will be with them every step of the way. In fact, as soon as our clients secure their place on the expedition, Greg will be in contact to help them plan their approach and advise them on photographic equipment.”

This 13-Day expedition, limited to just 12 people and travels between 14th– 26th August 2022. The expedition is also available for private departures with a flexible range of dates available in 2022.
